PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The University of Pikeville established a school-record with 24 made three-pointers on Wednesday night in a 111-47 win over St. Andrews University.

The Bears shot 58.5 percent in the game from outside, hitting 24-of-41. They also nailed 15-of-16 from the free throw line in picking up their fifth consecutive win to run their record to 7-2 on the season, 5-2 in the AAC.

Brooklyn Frazier came off the bench for a career-high 14 points, nailing 4-of-6 from outside. Sophomore
India Blyth had 14 of her own, while senior
Julia Parker had 12. Parker, the Ashland, Ky., native, was 4-of-5 from the arc in the game.

After St. Andrews opened the game with a layup by junior A.J. Price, the Bears ran off 36 of the next 37 points. The run, which lasted 7:56 of the first period, included 10-of-14 shooting from the outside.

Birchfield hit four of them to have 12 in the stretch, while
Bailey Frazier added nine with three tri-fectas. Six Bears scored in the outburst, and the lead was 35-3 with 40 seconds remaining in the period.

Senior
Morgan Stamper, who finished with eight points, pulled down 21 rebounds, 10 of which were off the offensive glass. She powered the Bears to a 49-29 advantage on the glass.

St. Andrews (3-6, 2-6) was led by Price's 22 points. Junior Ashley Starks followed with 16 points.

Sophomore Madison Larrimore had three points but pulled down 12 rebounds.
