Pikeville, Ky. - Officials of the Mid-South Conference announced the 2022-23 Wrestling MSC Academic All-Conference honorees Wednesday. The Champions of Character teams were announced as well. 

To be nominated for Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in their third term or fourth quarter. The 2022-23 MSC Academic All-Conference honorees for the UPIKE wrestling are seniors Clayton Horn and Gavin Hunt. 

Those who are honored to the Champions of Character Team are nominated by their coaches for their leadership on campus and in their community while demonstrating the five core values embraced by the NAIA. Gavin Hunt is this year's honoree for the Champions of Character Team. 

Both Horn and Hunt are first time honorees for Academic All-Conference awards. It is also Hunt's first time earning Champions of Character Team honors. 

The wrestling Bears will take to the mats this Friday and Saturday for the Mid-South Conference Wrestling Tournament in Bowling Green, Ky.
