Kansas City, Mo. – Six members of Coach Nelson Scott's 2022-23 UPIKE women's golf squad were honored for their hard work in the classroom when the NAIA released their 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

For a student-athlete to be nominated, they must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0, they must appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport and must have attended their institution for a full year. The 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honorees for the UPIKE women's golf team are Darby Chapman, Emily Bechtel, Emily Brown, Gabrielle Blankenship, Mallory Davis and Sophie Beverly. All of UPIKE's 2022-23 honorees are being recognized for the first time.

The Bears wrapped up a successful 2022-23 campaign that ended with Renee and Carly Crooks earning All-Conference nods and eight academic All-Conference bids
