PIKEVILLE, Ky. - UPIKE men's soccer earned a 4-2 victory over the Reinhardt Eagles Wednesday afternoon.

The Bears got the offense going early with some great chances in the 9'. UPIKE drove the ball deep into RU territory and got a corner kick opportunity. Bruno Arenal lined up to take the corner and connected with Jay Jackson in the 9' to give UPIKE an early 1-0 lead.

Three minutes after Fausel's goal, UPIKE drew a foul deep in Reinhardt territory and had a free kick opportunity. Juan Farkas fired the free kick shot past RU keeper Allan Tercjak and put UPIKE ahead 3-0 just 15 minutes into the match.

Reinhardt made a push and made the Bears pay for a mistake in their own end. RU's Weyman Mabuya got the Eagles on the board in the 22'. Neither team scored again in the first 45. UPIKE lead 3-1 on the scoreboard and held a 9-4 advantage in shot attempts.

The next goal of the match occurred in the 68'. RU's Zakaria Sanaa connected with Chandler Ramaline to cut the UPIKE lead in half. The Eagles made a fierce comeback, but the Bears slammed the door on their comeback bid in the 77'.
