SMYRNA, Tenn. – The University of Pikeville men's bowling team picked up another tournament win and Top 5 finish over the weekend.

After finishing fifth on Saturday in the Greater Nashville Open, the Bears bounced back for a win in Sunday's Brandon Burns Memorial.

On Saturday, Milligan (Tenn.) University took home the title in the Greater Nashville Open thanks to a score of 6,022. UPike was fifth in the field of 15 with a score of 5,488.

In the junior varsity division, Milligan won with a score of 5,746. UPike JV2 was second at 5,382, while UPike JV1 was fourth with a score of 5,203.

Freshman
Andrew Robitaille came away with his first collegiate championship in the singles division, scoring 941 for a four-game average of 235.3. Freshman
Daniel Robertson was seven in the field of 187 collegians, averaging 228.3.

Sophomore
Josh Maslanich finished 12
th with an average of 212, while freshman
James Sinclaire was 18
th, shooting 213.8. Senior
Chris LeSueur finished 22
nd, averaging 206.3.

On Sunday the Bears finished atop the field in the 17-team Brandon Burns Memorial. They shot 6,113 to finish ahead of Milligan, which shot 5,974, and Oklahoma Christian University, which finished third at 5,941.

Tennessee Wesleyan University won the junior varsity tournament at 5,921, with Milligan finishing second. UPike JV2 was fourth at 5,466, while UPike JV1 was 10
th, finishing at 4,923.

The individual title went to Milligan's Nate Trentler, whose four-game average was 251.3 Graduate Student
Bryce Oliver was third, averaging 235.5, while freshman
Lucas Ellis was fifth at 233.8, followed closely by senior
Blake Hisle, who averaged 213.5.

Robitaille finished 13
th, averaging 220.3, while junior
Eli Mayberry was 14
th, averaging 219.5. Maslanich finished 23
rd thank to an average of 212.

The Bears will be back in action on Nov. 2-3, traveling to Marietta, Ga., to bowl in the Bowlero Southern, the season's first Teir One tournament.
