LAURINBURG, N.C. – Three players reached double digits in the scoring column as the University of Pikeville picked up a key road win with a 71-56 decision over St. Andrews University on Saturday.

UPike (4-2, 3-1 in the AAC) jumped out to a 19-11 lead after a period and was on top 35-29 at the break. UPike was 8-of-20 from outside.

Junior guard Allie Stone led all scorers with 18 points in the win. The 5-6 guard also had six rebounds and six assists.

Junior guard India Blyth followed with 17 points, nailing 4-of-7 from the arc. Junior Katie Collopy had 10 points in the win.

Junior forward Jaidy Mejia-Andrade led UPike efforts on the glass with eight rebounds.

Two Knights reached double figures in the loss. Katie Moore had 12 to go with five rebounds, while Jamicia Davis flipped in 10 points and six rebounds.

St. Andrews fell to 2-6 overall, 1-3 in the league.

The Bears will remain on the road on Tuesday, traveling to Barbourville, Ky., to visit Union Commonwealth University. That game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. opening tip.
