BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Three players scored at least 19 points on Tuesday night as the University of Pikeville picked up a 90-59 win over Union Commonwealth University.
 
UPike (5-2 overall, 4-1 in the AAC) shot nearly as well on three-point shots (43.3 percent) as it did overall from the floor (44.9 percent). Union, meanwhile, hit only 39.6 percent from the field and was only 2-of-18 (11.1 percent) from the arc.
 
The game was tied at 2 and 4 before UPike got hot. Sophomore 
Rachel Bush had consecutive three-point baskets before junior 
India Blyth nailed one of her own. When freshman 
Jaaliyah Warren scored on a fast-break layup, the Bears had 11 straight and their first double figure lead at 15-4.
 
Before the period ended, the lead reached 12 two different times.
 
Junior 
Allie Stone had a three-point play, and when she followed it with a layup, the lead had ballooned to 22, 38-16, with 4:32 left in the first half. The Bears were in front 59-22 at the half.
 
The largest lead of the game came at the end as the Bears rolled to a 31-point win.
 
Stone led the Bears with 24 points and tied for high honors with six assists. She was 9-for-9 from the free throw line, and is now 37-of-40 (92.5 percent) for the season.
 
Blyth followed with 22, having hit seven three-point shots in the win, and added four assists.
 
Bush finished with 19 points, matched Stone with six assists and added nine rebounds. The Bears got 10 rebounds from junior 
Katie Collopy as the Bears rolled to a 40-25 advantage on the glass.
 
Union (2-5, 1-3) got 29 points and seven rebounds from Madison Brady. McKenzi Himes added 11, as they duo combined for 8-of-8 shooting from the line.
 
The Bears are off until next Wednesday when they return to the UPike Gym to play host to Kentucky Christian University. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
