MARIETTA, Ga. – The University of Pikeville men's bowling team finished second in last weekend's Bowlero Southern Classic.

The tournament was the first Tier One event of the season for the Bears. UPike has now finished in the top five in all five tournaments in which it has competed, with three titles already this season.

SCAD Savannah won the title in the 21-team tournament, finishing with a total pinfall of 10,671. UPike was second with a score of 10,345.

The Top 5 was rounded out by Webber International (Fla.) University (10,299), Marian (Ind.) University (10,153) and Trine (Ind.) University (10,112).

On the individual side, graduate student
Bryce Oliver was the top finisher, coming in seventh in the field of 212 bowlers with a score of 1,339 for a six-game average of 223.2.

Senior
Blake Hisle was the next finisher for the Bears, coming in 30
th with an average of 200.2. Sophomore Joshus Maslanich followed, averaging 215.6 over five games. Graduate student
Dylan Mishak posted a four-game average of 212.8.

UPike will be off for the next three weeks, returning to action on Nov. 22-23 in the NAIA Invitational. The tournament will be held at Kingpin Lanes in Louisville, the site of last spring's USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships.
