Bailey Frazier's double-double led a balanced scoring attack as the University of Pikeville picked up a key road win over Truett-McConnell University on Saturday afternoon.

Frazier had 16 points and 10 rebounds, sophomore
Allie Stone had 17 thanks to 4-of-7 from the arc and sophomore
India Blyth flipped in 13 to lead the Bears to an 86-67 win.

The win was the fourth straight for UPike, all in league play, to move its record to 19-7 overall, 15-5 in the AAC. Truett fell to 9-16 overall and 8-12 in the conference.

The Bears used an early 8-0 run to take the lead. Senior
Morgan Stamper sank two free throws before back-to-back three-point shots, first by and then by Frazier and then by senior
Julia Parker, pushed the lead to 11-4.

Leading 16-9, UPike needed only 1:49 to run off 13 consecutive points. Stone had six on consecutive threes to end it, making the lead 29-9 with 1:06 left in the opening period.

The lead grew to as big as 24 at 53-29 early in the third quarter before the Bears settled for the 19-point win.

UPike won the game thanks to shooting 13-for-30, 43.3 percent, from three-point range. Truett-McConnell, by comparison, sank 3-of-11 for 27.3 percent.

The Bears won the rebounding battle 40-31 despite only six players recording a carom. All of them had at least four boards to their credit.

Freshman Alexis Brewster paced TMU with 23 points and nine rebounds. Brinkley Kate Reed followed with 14 while senior Sydnie Smith added 10 points and four assists.

UPike will return to the court on Wednesday in the home finale. It will entertain Tennessee Wesleyan University at the UPike Gym at 5:30 p.m.
