PIKEVILLE, Ky. - University of Pikeville men's tennis extended their win streak to four after a 4-0 victory over Truett McConnell.
Paulo Castillo and Alfonso Robinson got the doubles matches started with a 6-0 victory. UPIKE took the doubles team point after Martin Lorenzo and Mateo Vargas defeated their TMU counterparts 6-4.
Timur Chsherbukov put the Bears up 2-0 in the match after a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Anton Hofman followed up Chsherbukov's dominant victory with a 6-0, 6-0 dominant victory. With the match on the line, Juan Diego Alzate secured the match for UPIKE with a 6-0, 6-0 win.
UPIKE is now 5-1 (2-0 AAC) following the victory over TMU. Next up for UPIKE is a match with SCAD-Atlanta at the Bob Amos tennis courts on Sunday.
