PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Bluefield (Va.) University scored in the 86
th minute to tie the University of Pikeville 1-1 on Saturday afternoon at Bob Amos Park.

The Bears had taken the lead with a goal in the 75
th minute, only to see the Rams even the count for the tie.

Sophomore
Juan Farkas scored his first goal of the season off a pass from freshman
Bruno Arenal for what proved to be the only UPike goal of the contest.

But with four minutes to play, Yannik Weiss scored on a pass from Edwin Cruz.
Â
UPike is now 1-7-1 on the season and 0-4-1 in the AAC. Bluefield is now 2-5-1 overall, 1-4-1 in the conference.

The Bears recorded 10 shots on goal compared to two for the Rams.
Â
Farkas led the Bears with four shots on goal, while Arenal had two.
Jay Jackson,
Tomas Cristancho,
Anthony Aguilar and
Daron Baumann added one.

For the Rams, the only shots on goal were by Aiden Erickson, Cameron Richter and the goal by Weiss.

Bluefield keeper Justus Repschlaeger had eight saves in the loss, while Pikeville's
Adam Di Millo had one in the win.

The Bears will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Columbia, S.C., to play Columbia International University. The match will commence at 3:30 p.m.
