PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The University of Pikeville women's basketball team hit 19 three-point shots and put five players in double figures in a 98-44 win over Bluefield (Va.) University on Wednesday afternoon at the Appalachian Wireless Arena.

The game, the first of an AAC doubleheader, was rescheduled from Tuesday night due to weather.

In addition to dazzling shooting, the Bears also took care of the basketball – they committed only five turnovers in the win.

UPike (9-5, 7-2) shot 53.7 percent from the field and was 19-of-29 (48.7 percent) from the arc, while making all seven free throws in the win. By contrast, Bluefield was 38.5 percent overall and only 1-of-16 (6.3 percent) from outside. They were 13-of-20 (65 percent) from the line.

Junior
Allie Stone fired in five three-point baskets for 21 points to go with three assists to pace the Bears. Junior
India Blyth nailed six three-pointers for 20 points, adding four assists.

Freshman
Jaaliyah Warren came off the bench to go 5-of-7 from the arc and finish with 15 points. Sophomore
Rachel Bush had 11 points, six rebounds and four assists, while sophomore
Alexis Moore finished with 10 points, four boards, three assists and three steals.

Bluefield had one player in double figures. Senior Destiny Long was 7-of-9 from the line and finished with 15 points and eight rebounds to lead the team in both categories.

UPike is scheduled to return to the court on Saturday afternoon when it visits Cleveland, Ga., to play Truett McConnell. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m.
