WILMINGTON, Ohio – University of Pikeville men's and women's cross country ran at the Jenna Strong Fall Invite hosted by Wilmington College Friday.
On the men's side, freshman Joshua Martinez ran the fastest time for the Bears, clocking in at 27:24.4. Bruce Coleman ran a 31:23.4 and newcomer Carter Hamilton rounded out the UPike men's results with a 37:44.2.
Morgan Tuttle had the best time on the women's side, running a 23:39.6. Michelle Kemboi had the Bears' second-best time at 26:04.9. Jasmine Meade ran 30:08.3, then Shelby Stump and Ryleigh Absher rounded out the women's results with times of 34:59.4 and 34:59.5, respectively. The women's cross-country team came in 22nd place.
Cross country will be back in action next Friday in Knoxville, Tenn., for the Appalachian Challenge hosted by Tennessee Wesleyan University.
