Â
Bears 29, Buffs 27: UPike turned a 3-1 deficit around by scoring eight unanswered points. Hawley recorded three service aces in the stretch. UPike led 13-8 before the Buffaloes scored three straight to pull within two. The edge was 18-13, but that's when Milligan reeled off eight of the next nine points to take a 21-19 lead. The Buffs pushed their lead to 24-21 before kills by Hawley, Romero and Rivas tied it at 24. Milligan was again on the cusp of the win at 27-26 before the Bears scored the final three points, ending with yet another Hawley service ace.
Â
Bears 25, Buffs 15: The Bears led 4-3 and then ran off six straight points. Hawley began it with a kill and added a service ace. Chapman was involved in two block assists as the Bears stormed in front 10-3. A 5-1 Milligan run cut into the deficit, but another six-point run that started with a Chapman kill and then put her at serve where she had two aces made the lead 18-9, and they cruised to the win from there.
Â
Bears 25, Buffs 17: The score was tied seven times in the first half of the set, including at 13 before Romero led a 6-1 run with three kills. The Bears closed it out with five of the final six points, finishing with a Rivas kill for the win.
