SMYRNA, Tenn. – The University of Pikeville women's bowling team got league play started for the 2025-26 season with a pair of top five finishes last weekend, including a win in the Greater Nashville Open.

Senior
Brianna Rogers led the way, taking the individual title in both tournaments. Rogers is the two-time Mid-South Conference women's bowler of the year.

On Saturday, the Bears won the Greater Nashville Open with a score of 5,627, finishing nearly 100 pins in front of second-place Milligan (Tenn.) University's 5,544.

Rogers posted a four-game score of 869, an averaging of 217.25. She finished 13 pins ahead of her closest competitor.

She was joined in the Top 10 of the 147-player field by junior
Madison Strouse, who finished sixth with an average of 198, and sophomore
Kaytlen Peck, who was eighth at 197.

Freshman
Cierra Gabriel came in 12
th, averaging 192.25, followed by senior
Victoria Hines, who was 13
th with an average of 191.5 and junior
Haley Grabowski, whose 191.25 placed her 14
th.

Junior
Allie Miles averaged 181.5 to put her 26
th.

On Sunday, the Bears placed fifth in the Brandon Burns Memorial. They posted a score of 5274, with SCAD-Savannah winning it with a score of 5475.

Rogers was again the individual winner, averaging 220.25 in the four-game series.

Peck was 26
th, averaging 180.75, followed by Grabowski, who averaged 180.5. Senior
Emily Lindsey followed with an average of 179.5, placing all three in the Top 30 of the field.

UPike will return to Tier One action this weekend, traveling to Marietta, Ga., to compete in the Bowlero Southern on Saturday and Sunday.
