RICHMOND, Ky. – The University of Pikeville men's bowling team picked up its first win of the season over the weekend, coming away with the title in the Bulldog Bash, hosted by Union Commonwealth University.

The Bears finished with a score of 5872, finishing 202 pins ahead of second-place Shawnee State (Ohio) University in the eight-team field. Wright State (Ohio) was third with a score of 5462.

Sophomore
Ethan Ackermann recorded a second-place finish in the 90-player field, recording a four-game score of 803. He was joined on the all-tournament team by sophomore
Isaiah Jackson, who rolled a 778 to finish fourth.

Andrew Robitaille finished seventh for the weekend. The sophomore finished at 756. Senior
Kesean Waldon rolled a 732 to finish tied for 10
th place.

Two other Bears were just outside the Top 10. Junior
Aramis Linville finished 12
th with a score of 731, while sophomore
Daniel Robertson was 13
th at 726.

Andrew Allen finished with a score of 697 to finish 17
th overall.

UPike has finished the fall portion of the schedule, having recorded finishes of first, second and third. It has been in the Top 10 of four of its five tournaments.

The Bears will be back in action on January 17-18 when they travel to Addison, Ill., to compete in the Kegel/ISBPA.
