MARIETTA, Ga. – The University of Pikeville men's bowling team participated in its second Tier One event of the young season last weekend, placing third in the 23-team Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic.

The Bears finished qualifying with a score of 8364. They finished behind only Webber International (Fla.) University, which led qualifying at 8644, and Tennessee Wesleyan University, which was second with a score of 8443.

In the tournament, the Bears lost to eventual champion Tennessee Wesleyan 3-2.

The Bears had three players bowl all five games, with two finishing in the Top 10 of the 190 participants.

Junior
Josh Maslanich rolled a third-game score of 257 to lead him to a ninth-place finish with an average of 219.

Sophomore
Andrew Robitaille was on his heels, averaging 217.6 for 10
th place. His day was highlighted by a 247 in the second game.

Quinn Tillman, a freshman from Clermont, Fla., averaged 200.2.

The next event on the UPike calendar is the Bulldog Bash, which will be held in Richmond, Ky., on Nov. 22-23.
