BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – For the second week in a row, the Mid-South Conference has honored a University of Pikeville player as the bowler of the week.
Â
Kaytlen Peck, a sophomore from Fort Lawn, S.C., was named women's bowler of the week.
Â
"We are so proud of Kaytlen and all the hard work she is putting in," said Coach Amber Griffin. "She performed at a high level for the team and we are excited to see what she continues to accomplish this year."
Â
Peck was the co-champion of the Tier One Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic last weekend in Marietta, Ga., tying for first place among the 99 individual players in the tournament.
Â
She averaged 210.8 in her five individual games last weekend. She wrapped it up with a 247, her highest score of the weekend.
Â
It was Peck's first time winning bowler of the week. She followed last week's winner, senior
Brianna Rogers, as Bears to win the honor.
Â
UPike will return to action on Nov. 22-23 when they compete in the Bulldog Bash. It is hosted by Union Commonwealth University and will be held in Richmond, Ky.
