Jayla Boyd was honored today when the AAC announced its all-conference team in women's soccer.
Â
Boyd was named second-team all-conference in a season in which she was in the top three in the league in goals, assists and points.

In addition, teammate
Rebekah Christopher was named to the Champions of Character team and 16 players were named to the All-Academic Team.
Â
Boyd is a center back from Beavercreek, Ohio. She led the team with 15 goals, eight assists and 38 points as the Bears turned in a 9-5-3 record this season.

Boyd was second in the conference in goals and points, while her eight assists had her tied for third in the league.
Â
In addition, she led her team in shots on goal percentage at .684.
Â
Christopher, a sophomore from Berea, was one of 11 players named to the Champions of Character team.
Â
The team is comprised of players who best represent their team in the five core values the NAIA embraces, which are respect, integrity, responsibility, servant leadership and sportsmanship.

Both Boyd and Christopher were among the 16 players named to the all-academic team. In order to qualify for this, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and have a grade-point average of at least 3.25.

Megan Stringer, a senior from Bristol, England;
Bailey Walker, a senior from Pittsburgh, and;
Alyson Wright, a junior from Bristol, Va.
