SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The University of Pikeville put four players in double figures on Saturday afternoon and beat homestanding Spartanburg Methodist College 85-70.

UPike (9-2 overall, 5-0 in the AAC) hit14 three-point shots, nailing seven in each half to pull out the win. The nation's leading free throw shooting team, the Bears went 11 for 14 on the day.

They remain the only unbeaten team in the conference.

Bradley Bunch hit a three and
LA Walker had a three-point play, and they never trailed in the game.

Bunch, a senior from Big Stone Gap, Va., paced the Bears with 23 points while pulling down six rebounds, four off the offensive glass. He hit four three-point shots.

Walker, a senior from Columbus, Ohio, hit three of his own en route to 22 points and four rebounds.

Keynan Cutlip matched Bunch with four treys and scored 18, while freshman
Zion Blevins scored 10 with a team-high nine rebounds.

Keian Worrix led the Bears with six of their 18 assists on the day.

Freshman forward CJ Terrell had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Pioneers, who fell to 2-8 on the season and 1-4 in the league. Freshman guard Musa Murithi followed with 16 points and led his club with three assists.

Junior Kennedy Aiken-Shannon had 13 points thanks to hitting three three-pointers, while senior Calvin Brown came off the bench for 10 points and six rebounds.

The Bears will return home on Wednesday night, hosting Milligan (Tenn.) University. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the UPike Gym.
