Bears' electric shooting takes down Bulldogs

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Five players reached double figures and six hit three-point shots as the University of Pikeville kept the heat on the AAC leaders with an 89-53 win over Union Commonwealth (Ky.) University on Wednesday night.

UPike (15-7 overall, 14-4 in the league) took a 52-29 lead to the half thanks to shooting 10 of 19 from the three-point line in before intermission. The Bears played exceptional defense, forcing the Bulldogs into 27 turnovers; all 10 Bulldogs turned it over at least one time.
