MARION, Ind. - UPIKE women's tennis defeated No. 23 Indiana Wesleyan 4-3 Saturday. 

Belen Cavallero and Gabriela Guacanes fell 7-5 in the first doubles match to IWU's France Antenna and Sofia Munoz. Yazmin Barrios and Azul Barrios tied the doubles score with a 6-4 win over Katie Parr and Meribel Jarna. With the score tied 1-1, Nalalia Salinas and Lilia Jerry secured the doubles team point with a 6-4 victory over Lauren Dick and Maria Oliveira. 

After securing the team point, Lilia Jerry put UPIKE up 2-0 with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Sofia Munoz. The Wildcats got a point back after France Antezana defeated Yazmin Barrios 1-6, 6-3, 6-1. 

UPIKE went back up 3-1 after Belen Cavallero won 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 over Maribel Jarna. IWU would take the next two matches to tie the score at 3-3. Katie Parr won 6-4, 6-3 over Natalia Salinas and Maria Oliveira won 6-4, 6-3 over Azul Barrios. 

With the match on the line, Genesis Medina faced off with Lauren Dick of IWU. Medina took the match 7-6, 7-5 and gave the Bears a 4-3 win over the Wildcats in the match. 

Coach Cailee Marcum's squad will return to action next Saturday at UT-Southern.
