Bowling competes at Hoosier Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - UPIKE men's and women's bowling competed at the 2025 Hoosier Classic. The women's team finished in fifth while the men's team finished eighteenth. 

Women's Bowling:

The Bears dropped 4,830 pins over five team games. Brianna Rogers bowled five games with a pin fall of 1,027, averaging 205.4. Kristina Catoe was right behind Rogers, averaging 202.2 pins over five games. 

UPIKE bowled 15 baker games and dropped 3,252 pins with an average of 216.8. The Bears dropped 200 or more pins in 12 of the 15 baker games, including back-to-back scores of 211 to close out the baker games. 

After five team games and fifteen baker games, UPIKE had dropped a total of 8,082 pins and finished fifth overall. 

Men's Bowling:

In the team games, UPIKE dropped 5,015 pins over five games. Bryce Oliver led the Bears with a pin fall of 1,107 over five games for an average of 221.4 per game. 

In the baker games, UPIKE dropped 2,944 pins over 15 games and averaged 196.3 pins. The Bears finished strong in games 13-15, dropping 214, 232, and 220 to close it out. 

The men's team had a total pin fall of 7,959, putting them in eighteenth place overall. 

The Bears have a quick turnaround and will be back in action Thursday in Bowling Green, Ky., for the Mid-South Conference Championship.
