WALESKA, Ga. – The Appalachian Athletics Conference has announced its WinWon men's basketball all-conference teams, and the University of Pikeville took the top two honors.

Bradley Bunch was named the Player of the Year while
Tigh Compton was named Coach of the Year.

They were joined by two members of the league's second team, two all-defensive team players, a representative on the all-freshmen team, a Champion of Character and a league leading 17 members of the all-academic team.

Bunch was named the league's top player in a vote of the conference's head coaches. The 6-7 junior from Big Stone Gap, Va., averaged 19.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this year for the Bears. He was fifth in the league in scoring and second on the glass.

He shot 52.3 percent from the floor and 42.5 percent from the arc while nailing 70.8 percent from the free throw line. In addition, he was credited with 63 assists, averaging 2.3 per game.

Bunch is the eighth Bear to be named his league's player of the year. The last to do so was Jayvian Delecruz, who was Mid-South Conference Player of the Year after the 2018-19 season.

LA Walker and
Keian Worrix were named second-team all-conference.

Walker, a 6-5 junior from Columbus, Ohio, was second on the team in scoring with an average of 14.9 points per game. He also averaged 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Walker also led the team from the free throw line as his 79.0 percent is best among qualified shooters.

Worrix, a 5-7 junior from Pikeville, averaged 9.4 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game. He also connected on 40.2 percent of his three-point attempts and 73.5 percent from the free throw line.

Bunch and Worrix were also named to the 10-player all-defensive team. Bunch had 220 defensive rebounds per game, which is an average of 7.9 rebounds per game. He also had 24 steals and 24 blocked shots on the season. Worrix had 65 defensive rebounds, 42 steals and blocked two shots.

Jaylan Rigdon was named to the all-freshman team. The 6-0 guard from Pikeville averaged 5.6 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, shooting 40 percent from the arc and 88.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Worrix was also the UPike delegate on the Champions of Character Team. He was honored for his representation of the five core character values the NAIA embraces, which are respect, integrity, responsibility, servant leadership and sportsmanship.

In order to make the all-academic team, a player must be at least a sophomore and have a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average. The UPike players, listed in alphabetical order, are: Trenton Adkins,
