Bush named honorable mention All-American by WBCA

LILBURN, Ga. – Rachel Bush has been named a NAIA Honorable Mention All-America by the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association.

Bush, a 6-0 sophomore from Greenup, Ky., was one of 20 players to receive the honor from around the country, and one of two from the AAC.
 
She was one of two Bears honored by the WBCA, joining junior guard Allie-Stone, who was named All-America for the second time.
 
Bush averaged 14.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for the Bears this season. She also totaled 60 blocked shots in 28 games.
 
She shot 51.7 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from the arc. Her free throw percentage of 93.4 (71 of 76), is a new school record for a single season.
 
Bush was second in the AAC with 2.1 blocked shots per game, while her rebounding average was fourth and shooting percentage was fifth in the league.
 
In two seasons, Bush has scored 520 points and pulled down 299 rebounds. Her career free throw percentage is now 92.1 percent.
