The University of Pikeville men's soccer team scored two goals in the final 11 minutes to force a 2-2 tie against AAC rival Columbia (S.C.) College on Saturday evening at Bob Amos Park.

The rally kept the Bears unbeaten on the season in league play, moving to 2-0-1. They're 3-2-1 overall.

The Koalas are 2-1-1 overall, 1-1-1 in the league.

The teams were scoreless into the 29
th minute when the Koalas found the back of the net. It came on an unassisted attempt by Angel Andreucetti.

Before the half, Columbia scored again, this time when Jacob Madeiros hit Marco Novellino to make it 2-0 in the 43
rd minute. That was the lead the Koalas took to the half.

At the break, UPike had only two shots on goal compared to four for Columbia.

It stayed that way until the 79
th minute when the Bears got on the scoreboard. Freshman defender Sam Reinks blasted a shot off the chest of Columbia keeper Mathias Gravesen, but it landed on the foot of junior
Juan Farkas for the goal.

The Bears weren't finished. They continued to force the action with aggressive play until the 87
th minute when Farkas found sophomore forward
Jakub Rus for the game-tying goal.

UPike finished with six shots on goal, compared to five for Columbia. Starting keeper
Alejandro Iglesias turned away three for the Bears.

The Bears will be on the road on Wednesday when they play at Bluefield (Va.) University. The game will begin at 6 p.m.
