The University of Pikeville nailed 15 three-point baskets on Monday night en route to an 80-50 win over Spartanburg Methodist (S.C.) College.

The win raised the Bears to 23-3 on the season and winners of 22 of their last 23 games. Having already clinched the AAC regular-season title, they improved to 16-1 in league play.

The Pioneers fell to 6-20 overall, 4-14 in the conference.

Five Bears hit multiple three-point shots in the win.

Senior
Bradley Bunch led the Bears in scoring. On the night he moved past Hall of fame member David Rowe to enter the Top 10 on the all-time scoring list, the Big Stone Gap, Va., native had 18 points and 10 rebounds.

It marked the seventh time this season he's had a double-double.

Keynan Cutlip, who led the Bears with four three-pointers, had 15 points and a team-high five assists. Senior
LA Walker joined him with 15 points while pulling down eight rebounds.

Spartanburg Methodist shot 35.5 percent from the floor and was only 5 for 21 (23.8 percent) from the arc.

Two Pioneers reached double figures in the scoring column. Sophomore Cameron Pulley led the way with 11 points, while senior Calvin Brown added 10 to go with six rebounds.

UPike will be back in action on Wednesday night when it travels to Barbourville to play Union Commonwealth University. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The regular-season finale comes Saturday at the Appalachian Wireless Arena when Montreat (N.C.) College comes to call. That game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. tip with the senior day ceremony to precede it.
