BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Senior
Bradley Bunch had 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists to lead his team in all three categories in a 68-64 win over Union Commonwealth University on Wednesday night.

Union held a lead only once in the game when it scored the first basket of the night, but cut a 13-point deficit to only three before senior
Keynan Cutlip sank a free throw with eight seconds remaining to seal the win.

Cutlip followed Bunch with 15 points.

UPike (24-3 overall, 17-1 in the AAC) struggled shooting from the field, making only 40.4 percent of its shots and hitting only 8 of its 31 shots from the arc (25.8 percent).

It did, however, shoot well from the line. The nation's best free throw shooting team was 14 of 18 on the night and turned it over only six times.

Sophomore
Rylee Samons had 11 points, while senior
LA Walker had nine points, four rebounds and matched Bunch with four assists.

The Bulldogs shot better from the floor, hitting 50.9 percent of its shots, but was only 1 for 9 from outside.

They were paced by junior center Ali Sakho, who had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Junior Kaleb Hedgepeth followed with 13 points and five rebounds, while senior Dallas Rufas had 11.

Union fell to 12-15 overall but is 10-8 against conference competition.

UPike will wrap up regular season play on Saturday when it hosts Montreat (N.C.) College at the Appalachian Wireless Arena. Game time is set for 4 p.m. with Senior Day ceremonies before the start.
