PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- It's early in the season, but the University of Pikeville and Alice Lloyd women's basketball teams are undefeated at 2-0 and 3-0, respectively, and meet at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday at the East Ky. Expo Center.

The matchup allows the Bears to jump back into regular-season play after taking exhibition losses at Eastern Kentucky and Kentucky last week. Prior to that they routed Midway 77-61 and survived on the road at West Virginia Tech 91-85.
Alice Lloyd also had a close call with Tech in its most recent outing, winning 91-98 in Pippa Passes, Ky., on Saturday. The meeting with UPIKE is the Eagles' first road trip after winning the opening three games at home.
Last season, Alice Lloyd topped UPIKE 93-84 in the season opener at home before losing later on in Pikeville 78-70.
Senior guard Carla Booth is the only Eagle averaging double figures in scoring so far, pouring in 21.7 points per game, while 6-0, sophomore center Morgan Chesnut is averaging 8.7 points and five rebounds per contest.
Four difference Bears are averaging double digits, including Shekinah Gibson (17.0), Khalilah Quigley (13.0), Kelah Eldridge (11.5) and Jamie Castle (10.5).
