PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- Six University of Pikeville women's soccer student-athletes earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors on Tuesday as the Bears also learned they will face top-seeded Lindsey Wilson in the opening round of the conference championship at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday in Bowling Green.
Academic All-MSC honors are reserved for those who are at least sophomore with a 3.25 grade-point average or better. Making the list from UPIKE were senior Paulina Ruiz, juniors Abby Helwig, Caitlyn Hunt, Macarena Acuna and Danielle Upton and sophomore Bibian Borst.

MSC Championship
The eighth-seeded Bears will open postseason play against a familiar foe as they last played top-seeded Lindsey Wilson on Oct. 27 in a 5-0 loss.
The winner between the Bears and Blue Raiders will play either No. 4 Cumberlands or No. 5 Shawnee State at at 1 p.m. on Nov. 10.
All tournament games are being played at Warren East High School in Bowling Green and are being streamed by the MSC.
