Box Score PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- In the final home match of the 2016 season, the University of Pikeville volleyball team had little trouble with Alice Lloyd, sweeping it for a 3-0 win on Tuesday night at UPIKE Gym.
With the win, the Bears improve to 17-14 on the season, ensuring them of at least a .500 record for the first time since 2007. Alice Lloyd falls to 7-14 overall with the loss, its second of the season to UPIKE.
Set scores went 25-10, 25-18 and 25-14 in favor of the Bears who are just two more matches away from entering the postseason.
Sydney Hall paced UPIKE with nine kills, followed by Amari Eadie with six and Cassidy Tackett and Kaitlyn Welsh tallying five each. Savanna Zakman dished out 29 assists and Rachel Murphy collected 14 digs.

The Bears wrap up their regular season at the end of this week, taking on Lindsey Wilson at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, followed by a trip to Cumberland at 7 p.m., on Friday.
