BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- On the eve of the 2017 Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Championship, the University of Pikeville collected seven league honors at the annual awards banquet on Saturday.

Eric Bernabeu and Juan Reyes were Second Team All-MSC selections, while Bernabeu Pedro Azevedo, Kenton Hall, Nicolas Rodenbusch and Devon Sgubin earned Academic All-MSC honors.

While this is the first MSC award for Bernabeu, it is the second straight season that Reyes has been named all conference.

In order to collect the academic honor, student-athletes must have achieved at least sophomore academic status and maintain a 3.25 GPA or higher.   

Rodenbusch leads the way for the Bears as this is his third Academic All-MSC selection and for Sgubin it's his second.

Play in the MSC Championship starts at 9 a.m. ET for sixth-seeded UPIKE against No. 3-seed Cumberland (Tenn.) at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green.
