Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The University of Pikeville men's soccer team picked up its first win of the season in style, shutting out Carlow 3-0 beneath the skyline of Pittsburgh on Friday night in Highmark Stadium.
The Bears were looking for their first win in 11 games, dating back to last season, and got a big boost in that effort from goalkeeper Anibal Navarro who recorded the clean sheet in a full 90 minutes against the Celtics (0-2-1).
UPIKE (1-3-1) got its goals from Max Isenberg in the first half unassisted, followed by insurance scores from Eric Bernabeu off an assist from Aaron Aven and Harry Hill on a free kick just outside the penalty box in the second half.
