PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- For the second time this season, the University of Pikeville women's tennis team registered a 9-0 shutout in a win over Alice Lloyd on Monday at the Bob Amos Complex.
UPIKE moved to an even 5-5 on the season in a match that it dominated from the get go.
In doubles play, the Bears won all three matches 8-0, including the top-seeded duo of Samantha Fraser and Andrea Hurtado topping Kennedi Damron and Ruth Ramos.
Fraser won again at the top singles spot, although this time the score was a little closer, as she beat Damron 6-3, 6-1. Hurtado sealed the match with a 6-0, 6-0 shut out of Ramos.
Madison Daniels got past Emily Burgin 6-0, 6-2, while Camila Adudelo and Cailee Marcum both won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.
Emma Wonn rounded out the wins with an 8-0 pro set against Kristen McCoy.
