Pikeville, KY – Bardstown High School golf standout Madelyn Smith has signed with the University of Pikeville as part of the 2022 recruiting class.

Smith is from Bardstown, Kentucky and was a member of the Lady Tigers golf team that won the 2A Girls Regional Championship this season. During that tournament, she earned medalist honors after shooting an 85. Smith also qualified for the state tournament this season, and was the only player from Bardstown to do so.

Off the course, Smith is part of the Bardstown swim team and is in the school orchestra. Other hobbies include baking, reading, and spending time with her friends. She also is a member of the FCA, National Honor Society, and Tri-M. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Jamie Smith and plans to study Spanish at UPIKE and become a high school Spanish teacher.
