Brianna Burbridge was selected to the 2021 NAIA Women's Basketball All-American Team as an honorable mention, announced national officials on Friday.
30 student-athletes were recognized as either first, second, or third team all-america, with 42 earning honorable mention status. The award is the second of Burbridge's career, earning a third team nod following her sophomore season.
Burbridge adds the national distinction to her long list of career awards that includes two First-Team and one Second-Team All-MSC honors, WBCA All-American Honorable Mention, and several MSC Player of the Week nods.
The fifth-year senior from Frankfort, KY led the Bears averaging 15.9 points and 10.9 rebounds per game this season. Burbridge led the MSC in field goal percentage, shooting 61% which was third highest mark in the NAIA. She also led the conference in rebounds per game and notched the most double-doubles with 13.
Since joining the Bears in 2016-17, Burbridge has amassed 1290 career points and 851 career rebounds over the course of five seasons. The senior matched her career high single-game high of 26 points three times in 2020-21.
