New Orleans, LA – The U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released it's 2021 All-Academic Teams on Friday, with UPIKE Men's Track and Field earning an All-Academic Team distinction as well as an individual winner in
Noah Thomas.
This year's award is the second consecutive for UPIKE Men's Track and Field, claiming the award following last season as well. The Bears were the only team from the Mid-South Conference to earn a spot on the list that featured 49 total squads from the NAIA.
In order to be eligible for USTFCCCA academic honors, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. This is not confined to the academic year, as it counts the complete cumulative career GPAs of each student-athlete on the team.

Noah Thomas claimed achieved yet another milestone with his selection as an USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete. Thomas is one of 225 total student-athletes from the NAIA selected.
Selection for the individual academic award requires a 3.25 cumulative GPA following the end of the last semester of competition.
