Bowling Green, Ky. - Earlier this morning, the Mid-South Conference announced the MSC women's soccer Academic All-Conference. The Champions of Character team for women's soccer was announced as well.
A student-athlete must manage a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in their third term or fourth quarter to be nominated by their institution for this award.
Student-athletes chosen for the Champions of Character team are nominated by their coaches for their leadership on campus, their community and for best demonstrating the five core character values the NAIA embraces.
The UPIKE women's soccer team was well represented in the classroom, with 13 Bears earning All-Academic Honors. Catie Bacon, Riley Collett, Kylie Gollihue, Alix Herter, Lillie Kluesner, Sophie Kluesner, Elizabeth Lukens, Kylie Maynard, Maria Rojas, Diana Sibrian, Ellie Webb, Emily Webb and Jada Rice all earned Academic All-Conference Honors. Rice was also honored on the MSC Champions of Character Team.
Bacon, Lukens, Maynard, Rice and Emily Webb were honored for this award for the third time. Collett, Gollihue, Sophie Kluesner and Lillie Kluesner were honored a second time while Maria Rojas, Diana Sibrian, Alix Herter and Ellie Webb were honored for the first time.
Today's announcement was a great one for the UPIKE women's soccer program as it continues to build momentum for the future.
