Kristina Catoe has been named Mid-South Conference Women's Bowler of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday. The award is the second for Catoe this season and the fifth in her career.
The Bears blew past competition in Indianapolis last weekend, winning back-to-back tournaments in Crossroads League Tournament play. Leading the charge for the Bears was Catoe who was named to the All-Tournament Team in both events, placing fourth and second, respectively.
At Crossroads No.2 on Friday, Catoe knocked down 795 pins for an average of 198.75 in four games. The Mooresville, NC native came back the next day and scored 798 to finish runner-up as the Bears claimed the team win in the Crossroads No. 3.
Catoe has earned all-tournament distinctions eight times in her career, including three this season. She is currently ranked 14
th in the country, according to the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) individual rankings, with an average of 194.541 pins per game.
