Portsmouth, OH – The University of Pikeville women's tennis team won their third straight match via sweep on Thursday afternoon at Shawnee State University, 7-0. They now have four 7-0 wins this season. They end the regular season at 9-7 overall and 3-7 in the Mid-South Conference.
Andrea Hurtado picked up her 10th singles victory of the season against Shawnee State, 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 spot. Hurtado and
Luisa Diaz won No. 1 doubles 6-1 for their seventh win as a team this year. Diaz won 6-0, 6-1 on court three singles for win number eight.
Sara Contreras and
Gabriela Guacanes also won doubles for the Bears, claiming court two 6-3 for win number three as a team. Contreras beat Lexy Urban 6-2, 6-1 in singles for her eighth victory while Guacanes got her eighth singles win 6-2, 6-2 over Lacey Urban.
Camila Agudelo won at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-3, claiming her fifth win this season.
Riley Mullins won on court six singles 6-3, 6-4 against Sarah Lemaster for her ninth win this year.
