Campbellsville, KY – The University of Pikeville women's tennis team lost on the road to No. 19 Campbellsville University Saturday afternoon, 6-1.
Riley Mullins picked up the lone win for the Bears on the day. She beat Emma Calfee at No. 6 singles 7-5, 0-6, 10-6. They played a super tiebreak instead of a normal set three since the match had already been determined. This is Mullins sixth singles win this season, tying her for the team lead.
Gabriela Guacanes also took a set for UPIKE at No. 4 singles against Madison Hill, 6-4. Hill however won a thrilling 13-11 super tiebreak to take the match.
What's Up Next
The Bears fall to 6-4 overall this season and 2-4 in the Mid-South Conference. UPIKE returns to the courts tomorrow afternoon at Georgetown College, with a 2:00 p.m. start time.
