Rio Grande, OH – The University of Pikeville men's and women's Track & Field teams competed this afternoon at the Rio Grande Last Chance Invitational, hosted by the University of Rio Grande.
Noah Thomas competed in both the hammer and discus throws for the Bears. In the hammer, he came in second with a toss of 48.98m to score eight points before finishing fifth in the discus at 42.89m.
Valerie Kendrick competed in the discus throw for UPIKE, where she won the event by over a meter at 40.45m to earn 10 points. This was her fourth event win of the spring and third in the discus.

Thomas will head to the NAIA Outdoor National Championships in Gulf Shores, AL to compete in the discus throw on May 26th, with the event listed to start at 5:00 p.m. central and 6:00 p.m. eastern.
