BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – The University of Pikeville women's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule with a third-place finish in the AAC Fall Preview.

Playing at the Par 71, 5,817-yard The Windermere Club, the Bears finished behind tournament champion Truett McConnell and SCAD-Atlanta in the eight-team field.

For the two-day event, the Bears shot 621, finishing 14 shots out of second place and 34 out of first place.

UPike was led by sophomore
Renee Crooks, who finished tied for 12
th at 12-over 154. She shot 75-79 for the tournament.

Sophomore
Carly Crooks and freshman
Tayla Howroyd were tied for 15
th after shooting 155. Crooks shot 80-75 while Howroyd finished 78-77.

Senior
Gabrielle Blankenship followed with a 159, shooting 78-81 to tie for 20
th in the field. Junior
Sophie Beverly was tied for 25
th with a finish of 162 (78-84).

Playing as an individual, sophomore
Lauren Holmes had a score of 182 (95-87).
