Bristol, Tenn. - UPIKE women's tennis opened their spring slate with a 4-3 loss to the King University Tornado 4-3 Saturday. 

Doubles: 

Madison Ball and Sara Contreras fell 6-1 in their doubles match. Katharina Steib and Gabriela Guacanes were also defeated in their doubles match as well. Imsha Jawad and Hannah Thompson won by WD in their match.   

Singles: 

After falling 2-6 in the first set, Katharina Steib came back and won 7-6 and 11-9. Madison Ball, Gabriela Guacanes and Sara Contreras were all defeated in their matchups. Imsha Jawad and Hannah Thompson won their matches by way of WD.

Coach Cailee Marcum's will be back in action March 4th when they hit the road to take on the Bethel Wildcats.
