Pikeville, Ky. - UPIKE opened up Mid-South Conference play with a loss to the #21 Campbellsville Tigers. 

Doubles: 

Gabriella Guacanes and Genesis Medina got the Bears off to a great start in the doubles with a 6-1 win. The Tigers battled back and won the next two doubles matches 6-0 and 6-0 to take the doubles point. 

Singles:

Gabriella Guacanes got the singles matches started for UPIKE with a close, 4-6 loss in the first set. Guacanes fell in the second set and the Tigers took the team point. Genesis Medina was neck-and-neck with her Campbellsville counterpart, but fell 4-6, 4-6. The Tigers would go on to win all singles matches and won the match 7-0. 

UPIKE falls to 1-5 (0-1 MSC) following Thursday's loss. The Bears will hit the road for a Saturday afternoon matchup with the Bethel Wildcats.
