Williamsburg, Ky. – The Bears ended the regular season with a 4-3 loss to the #10 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Saturday afternoon.

Doubles: 

Juan Diego Alzate and Mirko Dedich fell in the first doubles match to Hung Ju Wu and Martin Muller 7-5. Martin Lorenzo and Alfonso Robinson tied the doubles score with a 7-6 win over Billy Chiang Chia Chun and Christian De Le Fuente Nodado. In the final doubles match, Valentino Ortiz and Paulo Castillo secured the doubles point with a 6-2 over Mattis Le Montagner and Killian Surmount. 

Singles:

UC's Mattis Le Montager defeated Valentin Ortiz 5-7, 6-1, 6-2. Juan Diego Alzate put UPIKE back in front with a 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 win over Martin Muller. Paulo Castillo secured another team point for UPIKE with another win. The Patriots would, however, wind up taking the match after winning the next three singles matches. 

UPIKE finishes the regular season with a record of 10-6 (6-4 MSC) and are on to the postseason. The Bears will return to action next Friday for a first round matchup with the Campbellsville Tigers in Bowling Green, Ky.
