WAGRAM, N.C. -- The University of Pikeville men's golf team competed in the St. Andrews Fall Classic. Deercroft Golf Course played 6,595 yards as a par 72.

The University of Pikeville men's golf team placed 5
th out of the 14-team field. The Bears shot a three-round total of 913 (+49) shooting 304 (+16) during the first round, 311 (+23) during the second round, and finished the tournament with their best team round of 298 (+10).

Northwestern Ohio took home the top spot with a team score of 876 (+12). Their best round came during the second round of the tournament shooting 287 (-1). Luke Turner from Northwestern Ohio won individually shooting one under par for the tournament.

The Bears were led by Junior
Lawson Hon. Hon captured his fourth all-tournament team of the season placing 4
th in the 86-player field. Hon played solid shooting 73 (+1) and a 78 (+6) during his first two rounds. Hon caught fire during the third round firing a 67 (-5) carding six birdies during his final round.

Junior
Jon Bryant played solid as well, opening the tournament with an even par 72 during his first round. Bryant rounded out his tournament with a 77 (+5) and a 78 (+6) placing 18
th for the tournament.

Saul Crist played as the individual position for the Bears. He played well shooting 233 (+17) for the tournament. His best round came during the first shooting a 76 (+4). Crist finished in 25
th for the tournament.

Senior
Tyler Ford played well, improving in every round he played in. Ford shot a three-round total of 235 (+19). His best round came during his last firing a 76(+4) placing him in a tie in 30
th for the tournament.

Junior
Clay Ison played steady shooting a 78 (+6) in his first two rounds and finished the tournament with a 81 (+9). He shot a three-round total of 237 (+21) finishing in 35
th for the tournament.

Rounding out the Bears is junior Cam Bergman shooting a three-round total of 247 (+31). Bergman played his round during the final round shooting a 77 (+5) putting him in 56
th for the tournament.

The Bears will be back in action in two weeks when they travel to Adairsville, Ga., to play Barnsley Golf Course for the AAC Fall Showcase.
