WALESKA, Ga. - University of Pikeville men's golf opened its 2025-26 season at the Eagle's Open hosted by Reinhardt University this past weekend.
Jon Bryant had the highest individual finish, coming in tied for 25
th. Bryant's best round came in round two where he shot a 40, including three birdies on the front nine.
Ryan Marszalek had the Bears' second highest finish, coming in at 28
th.
Newcomer
Kaeden Anderson had a great third round, shooting even in the back nine and +1 for the round. Anderson's score in round three was tied for eighth.
Peyton Compton also shot well in round three, shaving off two strokes from his score in rounds one and two. Compton recorded four birdies in round three, including back-to-back-to-back birdies on holes three, four, and five.
As a team, the Bears finished in sixth place out of the eight teams in the tournament. UPike improved its score every day of the tournament. The Bears shaved off eighteen strokes from round one to round three of the tournament.
