Box Score KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The fourth-seeded University of Pikeville nailed 7-of-8 from the free throw line in the final 52 seconds and upset top-seeded Bryan (Tenn.) College 74-63 on Friday night at the MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort and Convention Center.

As a result, the Bears await the winner of the nightcap between No. 2 Reinhardt (Ga.) University and third-seeded Milligan (Tenn.) University. The title will be decided on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.

They'll take a 23-7 record into the championship game.

Bryan (24-6) took a 48-47 lead when junior Torie Brooks sank two free throws with 2:21 left in the third period. But sophomore
India Blyth nailed a three-pointer with 55 seconds left, and the Bears never trailed again.

She followed that with two free throws to send the Bears to the final period on top 52-48.

The Lions opened the fourth with a free throw and layup, both by senior Kaitlynn Hennessee, to pull within one. But the Bears responded with three
Bailey Frazier layups on as many trips to push ahead 58-51 with 6:26 left in the game.

Bryan got within five, 64-59, but sophomore
India Blyth nailed a three-pointer to push the lead to eight with 1:47 left.

The Lions had only committed one foul, so had to burn precious time to get the Bears in the bonus. When they did, UPike made them pay with a parade of makes to seal the deal.

After Bryan jumped out to a 5-0 lead, the Bears settled in. Blyth nailed a three before grad student
Bailey Frazier hit a jumper followed by a three to take an 8-5 lead with 5:44 left in the opening frame.

The teams traded scoring consecutive buckets, with a layup by senior
Morgan Stamper giving UPike a 20-18 lead after one period.

Bryan took a 25-23 lead on a Samantha Russell layup with 5:40 left in the half before the Bears got a three-pointer from sophomore
Allie Stone and consecutive hoops from Frazier to take a 30-25 lead with 2:27 left before the break.

But Bryan scored eight of the half's final 10 points, and when Hennessee hit a three with seven seconds left, the teams went to recess tied at 35.

Frazier was tremendous for the Bears, leading them with 22 points to go with six rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots. Stone finished with 19 points on the day she surpassed 600 points in this, her sophomore season.

Blyth finished with 17 thanks to 4-of-5 shooting from the line, and Stamper totaled 12 points and 10 rebounds, giving her 17 double-doubles this season and 53 for her remarkable career.

Hennessee led all scorers with 24 for the Lions to go with seven rebounds. Brooks added 15.
