WALESKA, Ga. - Officials of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released the 2024 AAC Men's and Women's Tennis Academic All-Conference honorees. The Champions of Character Team was announced as well.  

For a student-athlete to qualify for academic all-conference honors, they must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 or above on a 4.0 scale and be sophomore or higher academically. Juan Diego Alzate, Martin Lorenzo, and Alfonso Robinson are the honorees for the men's team. The women's team led the AAC with ten honorees, and they are Yazmin Barrios, Sara Contreras, Elizabeth Davis, Aryahna Day, Gabriela Guacanes, Lilia Jerry, Kylie Jones, Genesis Medina, Emily Tackett, and Hannah Thompson.  

Student-athletes nominated to the AAC Champions of Character Team are nominated by their coaches for best exhibiting leadership on campus and in their community while demonstrating the five core values embraced by the NAIA. Martin Lorenzo is UPIKE's representative on the men's team while Yazmin Barrios was nominated for the women's team.
